Dear Colleagues
We cordially invite You to the EAGEN Course Obesity – metabolic and nutritional problem in Western and Eastern Europe which will take place in Opatija, Croatia on October 24-26, 2014.
The programme will include many interesting topics covering obesity problem from metabolic and nutritional point of view. To bring you the latest findings and global perspectives we invited internationally renowned faculties from EAGEN (European Society for Gastreonterology, Endoscopy and Nutrition) but also from Croatian Society for Gastroenterology, Croatian Medical Association,
Croatian Society of Obesity, Croatian Association for Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders and Croatian Society of Endocrinology. The course is organised under the auspices of United European Gastroenterology (UEG) and Croatian Academy
of Medical Sciences.

Pre-meeting debate and round table Living healthy will be organised prior to EAGEN Course with idea to promote prevention as a strategic approach to obesity problem. On course we expect many participants from Croatia and other Central and South-Eastern European countries, so we hope that this meeting will represent an important platform for regional exchange of new
ideas in the fi eld of obesity.
